Tara Tarh has extensive experience and capability in managing the construction phase from contract award and site preparation through to the start of plant commissioning. We can mobilize site management teams of project, cost and Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) management professionals to ensure that contractors implement appropriate systems, procedures and control mechanisms and deploy competent resources.

Tara Tarh often provides construction management as part of a complete project management services package, with the three key functions of project management: engineering, procurement management and construction management being provided by fully integrated teams. Our construction management services are provided by experienced professionals who work towards project success by forming effective teams including all relevant stakeholders.

Construction Engineering

Construction contractor selection and cooperation in making contract including

• Collection of statistics and information on qualified contractors and sending them to clients for approval
• Presenting additional information and explanation to the invited contractors for tender
• Issue necessary amendment for tender documents (if it is necessary and approved by client)
• Receiving the offers of erection contractors
• Evaluation of received offers from different aspects like company experiences and management staff, facilities and executive personnel, offered price and time schedule for works execution

Preparing civil tender documents including

• Statistics and information collection regarding the competent erection contractors and sending them to clients for approval
• Presenting additional information and explanation to the invited contractors for tender
• Issue necessary amendments for tender documents (if it is approved by client)
• Receiving the offers of construction contractors
• Evaluation of received offers from different aspects like company experiences and management staff, facilities and executive personnel, offered price and time schedule for works execution
• Preparing assessment report of the received offers and presenting to client
• finalizing contract with contractor after the successful tenderer declared by the client
• Preparing the detailed time schedule of construction & erection works and comparing with master program of work execution
• Preparing the detailed time schedule of commissioning works and comparing with master program of work execution??(This will be prepared with the cooperation of foreign companies in case of plants designed by them)

Cost Estimation

• Preparing preliminary and general cost estimation as a basis for initial payments at commencement of projects
• Cooperation with Technical & Economical Studies section in estimating the cost of required investment Preparing volumetric estimation of projects based on designed drawings and technical specifications
• Preparing price lists for Construction, electrical and utility works
• Preparing price list for erection works based on the scope of works and general and specific technical specifications prepared by Construction Engineering section

Construction Control and Monitoring

• Control of contracts and supervision on execution of works by construction & erection contractors
• Coordination of construction and erection contractors activities
• Sumbiting of work orders, execution and safety procedures to contractors according to detailed time schedule
• Site & main points handover to contractor(s) and issuing the site delivery certificate
• Settlement of disputes among contractors
• Coordination to apply necessary changes in design in case of change in time schedule, site conditions and facilities
• Coordination for preparing additional drawings or supplementary construction??procedures
• Approval of sub-contractors’ qualifications
• Checking the availability of equipments and special erection tools of manufacturers
• Coordination to reorder the damaged equipment and materials during handling, inventory or erection
• Auditing temporary and final invoices of construction and erection contractors
• Partial supervision & control of auditing method of contractors invoices at site

Site Supervision Services

• Supervision on mobilization and demobilization of contractor’s shop
• Supervision and inspection of materials, equipment and tools during delivery to the site and comparing them from quality & quantity point of view with the delivery package list and contractual conditions and reporting about missing or damaged equipment to client
• Supervision and coordination on??equipments, materials and tools delivery to sub-contractors in accordance to the works progress
• Supervision on incoming and outgoing of materials and machinery which are used temporarily for execution of work
• Supervision on offloading of packages and the method of inventory and protection of equipments and materials in warehouse or after erection
• Technical supervision on construction works, steel structure works, concrete pouring and related tests to assure observation of all standards, technical specifications, contractual conditions, approved drawings and procedures
• preparing??the proceedings related to transportation distances, volume of carried materials, soil classification, covered part which can not be controlled in the future, etc
• Technical supervision on erection works, welding works and quality control tests to assure about observation of standards, technical specifications, contractual conditions and approved drawings and procedures
• Preparing the site daily reports
• Determination of the quantity of acceptable works done by the end of each month and reviewing??monthly and final invoices of contractors
• Preparing work progress report
• Preparing/reviewing defect list and suggesting solutions
• Reviewing progress of the??works according to approved time schedule and coming up with??number of personnel and level of their expertise and machineries needed for project
• Review and approval of As-Built drawings prepared by contractors
• Control the execution of safety rule of works & site by construction and erection contractors
• Preparing insurance company claim forms and reordering forms
• Follow up damage claims from insurance company to reach final result
